1. What is an airbrush tan?An airbrush tan is the most realistic looking sunless tan you can get. The results are an even, natural, flawless, healthy tan, which lasts from 7 to 10 days. With our system you will no longer have streaks, orange hands and feet, blotchy patches and dirty looking knees and elbows. The tan won’t rob off on your clothes or sheets once it’s dry. It fades gently and slowly, just like a real suntan.
2. How long does an airbrush tan last?On average your tan should last from 7 to 10 days. There are several factors such as skin type, activities, and maintenance that can cause your results to vary. Ask your airbrush tan technician for information on how to maintain your tan.
3. Is airbrush tanning safe?YES. The main ingredient in our sunless tan is known as DHA. DHA is a simple non-toxic sugar. DHA is FDA approved.
4. Why is an airbrush tan better then a mist tanning booth? When getting an airbrush tan the instrument used allows smooth, flawless, and even tan all around. Special care is taken to avoid over tanning areas such as knees, hands, feet and elbows. Because our instrument is so unique we are able to fill in every part of the body and accentuate it as well.
When using a mist tanning booth, neither the client nor the machine have control over where the tan goes on. The result of this is that people come out with uneven tans and always have complains about the feet and hands. The color can’t be adjusted to a persons skin tone, so if you have the type of skin that just doesn’t take tan very well you’re out of luck and will most likely come out looking orange.
5. Does tanning protect me from the sun?NO! Airbrush tanning does not protect you from the sun. It is very important to always wear sunscreen while in the sun.
6. What should I wear?Women can wear whatever you feel comfortable in. You just have to know that the more you wear the more tan lines you will have. But it’s completely up to you and what your comfort level is. Men can wear boxers, swim trunks or shorts. Loose fitted, dark clothing and sandals should be worn.
7. How do I maintain my tan?The number one thing that any airbrush tanning specialist will tell you is you must moisturize. When tanning ask your tanning specialist to tell you about the products we have.
8. How long does a tanning session take?A full body session can take 10 to 15 minutes. We like to get you in and out as fast as we can but we also like to be precise. When special care is needed we will take the extra time so that you come out with a flawless tan.
9. Is there special care for brides?YES. For brides we highly recommend that you receive your tan 24 to 48 hours before the event. We have a special formula just for brides that contains no cosmetic bronzer and goes on clear.
